As a result, the profit of many companies is decreasing. So, the staff is under constant pressure. They have to look for the better ways of how to increase the conversion. So, where is the red line in relations between competitors?

Sometimes the company looks stronger – is it really so?

One can say for sure that comparing your business with another one is quite normal. Many businessmen do such things. It is especially actual among those companies who are working with software distribution. Sometimes, the results of comparison are put in the tables. In these tables, managers can observe all the functions that are provided by the competitors. At the same time, they can also see their own failures. 

This is especially actual when a small company works out some kind of software. It may sound strange but writing the results with a pen on a sheet of paper is really working. 

It becomes visible when you try to analyze the market. You can see your own company in a great number of comparison lists. Besides, your potential rivals can buy something in order to see how everything is working.

If you want to use such kind of information, you need to know how to do it correctly:

They must hear it from you. It would be rather stupid to send the e-mail or a message. It can be observed as scamming or blackmailing. 

The main thing here is what we get from the competitors. You need to focus on the exact words that were uttered about your company. You will hardly ever know if you lose potential customers or not. It is connected with the fact that some information can be irrelevant. You will never guess what your competitors said about your business to the potential customers.

One fact can’t be denied here. This is humans’ feelings and emotions. Negative comments or reviews can be based on the emotional state of the person. Such bad words can relate to the envy. You might have a good product, but your advertising company is rather poor. The clients don’t just buy it because they are not impressed. Your competitor might have the same product, but with a better advertising company, and people are getting hooked. In such cases, it is not professional to give negative comments because of your failures.

Your service can be rather good, but some negative comments from the competitors can spoil everything. So, this way of leading business is not good. Besides, it is not a productive way.

How to be unique?

The reality is that shallow words about competitors are not necessary. You may drown your competitor without it. It doesn’t matter what you are using, a brochure, a piece of advertisement, a phone call. At any rate, you must know the characteristics of the product. Besides, you must single out strong sides of your service. Keep on asking the same question to yourself: «And what?» Anyway, you must get profit.

Your real clients can produce great influence on your potential customers. You should use such an opportunity as soon as possible. Apply to comments, various types of research, surveys – all these things can become rather valuable. It can prove that you have chosen the right company to deal with. People usually prefer buying everything, being on the safe side. So, if you have lots of satisfied clients, it will be rather useful for you. Potential customers will believe you on the basis of the facts, provided by real customers. 

Finally, potential customers will contact you as they have got a problem. They need a product and don’t know where to get it. These problems can be of different kinds. If it is connected with the software, it can be some problems with compatibility. You will get more clients, if you can please real customers with what they are looking for. You can attract potential customers’ attention. 

Control your sales team

It often happens that the work of sales team and the work you need to do doesn’t correspond to each other. This is one of the most widespread problems. For example, you heard that the competitor gives negative remarks towards you. When you visit his page on the Internet, you see that he has the policy based on politeness. He will never do such things. This is the example of how two things can work separately. It is a bad thing, when the company doesn’t work in such a direction. First of all, the sales team must learn everything about the company. All the directions and ways of treatment must be observed in details before drawing any conclusions. 

If you are going to be a serious company, you must have strict rules. Your staff mustn’t humiliate other companies’ members. It is not a good way to lead business. It will be much better to put all the efforts on idealizing the product or the service. It will be much better to cry at every step that your company is the best, than crying that the competitor is the worst. Using black PR is not good for any successful company which wants to attract as many as possible customers. It is much better to use only legal technologies.
